Rachel was a junior at Columbine High School, and she was an actor who loved being on stage as well as writing plays. She also was very intrigued by photography and was heavily involved in the Celebration Christian Fellowship church. She is remembered as a vibrant person who was very straightforward and wasn’t afraid to stand up for what she believed in.
Isaiah was a senior at Columbine High School, and he had many interests in the arts. He wanted to go to an arts college after he graduated, wanting to become a music executive and a comedian. He played the keyboard and was very inspired by the black musicians in the area. Many people at school enjoyed Isaiah’s presence.
John was a sophomore at Columbine High School, and he was heavily involved in multiple churches in the area. He also had a girlfriend at the time who he was inseparable with. He also loved Chevrolet trucks and since he had gotten his license, he had just bought one of his own. He enjoyed off-roading, four-wheeling, and weight-lifting.
Lauren was a senior at Columbine High School, and she was the captain of the girls’ varsity volleyball team. She was a member of the National Honors Society and was a candidate for valedictorian of her class. She was very passionate about sketch art, as well as animals. Also, she planned to major in biology at Colorado State University after she graduated.
Kyle was a sophomore at Columbine High School, and he was named a “gentle giant” for being very affectionate and sincere. He loved helping his dad out around the house and with chores, and he dreamed of joining the Navy like his dad or becoming a firefighter. He was very close to his mother as well, giving her a kiss on the cheek every day.
Cassie was a junior at Columbine High School, and she loved Shakespeare, photography, and rock climbing in Breckinridge. Her favorite movie was Braveheart. She was also very involved in the church and it helped her get through her teenage years while dealing with her mental health issues.
Steve was a freshman at Columbine High School, and he wanted to be a Navy top gun pilot when he grew up. He loved soccer, and even though he wasn’t great at it, he refereed in his spare time and played for the team that his dad coached. He was also a very big fan of Star Wars as it was coming out at the time.
Corey was a junior at Columbine High School, and he was a wrestler who also loved to hike, golf, hunt, and fish. At the time, he was working a maintenance job at a golf club to save up money to buy a fishing boat with his best friend. He put a lot of work into his schoolwork and had the hopes of becoming a Marine someday.
Kelly was 16 years old and had moved to Littleton from Phoenix, Arizona 18 months before the shooting. She loved Halloween and she loved writing, so much so that she wanted to be an author someday. She was writing an autobiography at the time which spanned from her birth to her fifth year. She also loved reading, especially books about vampires.
Matt was a sophomore at Columbine High School, and he was an athlete, as well as a very good student. He put academics before anything and spent a lot of time studying. He was also on the football team, playing both offensive and defensive positions. Matt planned to attend the University of Colorado once he had graduated.
Daniel was a sophomore at Columbine High School, he was good at math and science and was remembered as a very smart boy. He was a part of the debate team at Columbine, as well as the cross-country team, and he liked to ski and camp when he was outside of school. He liked many games as well, such as video games and trivia games.
Daniel was a 15-year-old who really enjoyed working on electronic sound systems, as well as video games. He helped his father at his job working on sound systems, as well as helping his grandfather on his wheat farm. He used the money he earned working for his family to buy them Christmas gifts, and he was remembered as a fun guy.
Dave Sanders
William “Dave” had been a teacher at Columbine High School for 25 years, and he was a computer and business teacher. He also coached the girls’ basketball and softball teams. Many students said he was a friend, a mentor, and an inspiration. He and two of the janitors helped to warn students and get more than 100 of them out of danger that day.
